Fresh Pops of Green

Yes, emerald green has been named the color of the year for 2013. But, trend or not, we always love the fresh, crisp look of green...in a spectrum of shades, from pale lime to deep emerald. 

Green adds an element of nature and freshness to any living space. 

We've come across a lot of inspiration lately, from reading local design blogs like Laura Casey Interiors and BeSoStyle.... to seeing many-a-green-themed pin on pinterest  (be sure to link here to follow us).

Gold + Brass Touches

 Another design trend we've been noticing a lot lately is touches of gold and brass.  Bright metallics are back.  And as you'd expect, with a fresh  new interpretation.

 

Lighting is the perfect way to incorporate golden influences, whether with a striking pendant or an interesting task lamp.

Visions in Gray & Gold

Hello, everyone! It's Mari from Arcadian Home blog, a fabulous place to find beautiful home decor inspirations. I'm so happy to be visiting here at In The Gray to share a guest post about rooms with gray and gold color palettes. This lovely color combination is one of my favorites. Today, I've brought along eight room images that will surely inspire your own interior design dreams. Please enjoy!

A decidedly feminine sitting room is meticulously dressed in soft neutrals. Even the gold accents are beautifully understated, contributing to the appealing delicate look of this design.

This eclectic space is charming in shades of gray with gold accents. The golden oval mirror is simply stunning and a gorgeous addition above the fireplace.

From gray-washed rustic beams to chic charcoal velvet sofa, this inviting living space is lovely in many shades of gray. Restrained use of gold accents strikes just the right tone.

Gray walls are the perfect backdrop for a stunning contemporary range hood in bold brass-gorgeous and functional.

No gold-toned metallics are seen in this chic dining room. Mellow gold upholstery on the chairs and pops of gold in wall art contrasts beautifully with gray wall and drapery panels.
