How about a DRAGON?

If you are on our email list than this morning you saw our eflyer celebrating the Chinese New Year!  2012 is the Year of the Dragon. Dragons are considered very auspicious in Chinese mythology, and held in high esteem for their dignity and power. A unique addition to any décor style, a powerful dragon represents strength, success, and protection- and is even considered the bringer of joy!

For an interesting conversation piece, find an impressive carved ornament to hang from a cabinet door, or a small dragon trivet for a candle, plant or coffee cup. A carved black dragon plate could add drama to a boring wall, and a delicate white carved plate would make a stunning table center-piece.

Come find a dragon and add a touch of Asia to your home!

Although spring feels far away with the cold weather taking over the east coast this weekend, we're thinking sunshine at Post & Gray. Here's a sneak peek at what to expect this spring from the latest fashion guru: Ralph Lauren, and color specialists: Pantone.

RL previewed his spring line this past fall with an emphasis on pastel, oversized, and easy going. We're hoping this trend is on point, as we'll be carrying this through into the furniture world with upholstered artistic headboards and chairs, as well as watercolor print pillows. Add an easy touch of color to any room.

Well deserved, claire danes [ 2012 GOLDEN GLOBE AWARDS ]

Congratulations to Claire Danes for winning best actress at the 2012 Golden Globe awards for drama TV series 'Homeland', filmed in Charlotte, North Carolina.

When she isn't batting her eyes for the show, Claire has been known to stop into Post & Gray on occasion to make her "home away from home' a bit more enjoyable. Thanks for your support, Claire!
